Road America was a big success for both the Lotus 23 and the Lotus 79. Enough cannot be said for Richard South, John O'Connell and Leo Bouchereau for making sure Doc Bundy and the Lotus 23 were always ready to compete. The Lotus 79 was a whole different beast, Nathan Thompson spent so much time and effort on her, I don't think he exhaled until Doc pulled up to the Victory podium.
